Description
A fun plant for the full sun miniature garden. The gray-green, chunky-textured foliage will definitely add a different texture to your miniature garden bed, but this plant is so colorful and interesting, you may want to make it’s own miniature garden!
This hardy, succulent perennial that stays low the ground and flowers throughout the summer. Pretty magenta flowers with white centers are quite striking against the greens of the the garden.
When it’s not in bloom, the fun-textured of foliage stays semi-evergreen in the winter, but may get a little purple blush to the leaves if the temperatures dip. (Semi-evergreen means it dies back a little in the winter’s dormant months, but not completely.)
In the cooler weather, water this Ice Plant in the mornings. It gets cranky and moldy if it sits wet overnight.
INDOORS – Needs a LOT of light. Place by a sunny window or under grow lights. If planting in an indoor miniature garden, be sure the companion plants need the same light requirements. Provide good drainage and let the soil dry out in between watering sessions.
