Wooden Magnet Set | Zoology is a collaboration with the French Museum National d’Histoire Naturelle collaboration. Georges-Louis Leclerc, Count of Buffon, (1707-1788) directed the Royal Botanical Garden for almost fifty years, from 1739 until his death: his Natural History, in 36 illustrated volumes, was a success from the moment it was published. The animal representations contained in the book served as a source of inspiration for fine arts, fashion, decoration, educational works and children’s books.

These magnets are inspired by the illustrations appearing in the lotto game, a copy of which is kept at the National Museum of Natural History, in the collections of the Libraries and Documentation Department. Set includes 96 magnets and 24 information cards. Magnetic Black Board not included, but sold separately and pairs nicely for enjoyment of the magnets.
