Over the course of time, Christmas tree decoration has taken many forms. At first, trees were adorned with real fruits and nuts but since the middle of the 19th century, glass ornaments have made trees sparkle and shine. Glass Christmas decorations were in originally created in Lauscha, Germany by a poor glass-blowing artist who could not afford the traditional fresh fruits that had been used previously.
